Describe your reasons for applying to serve at Camp Cherith again this summer.

Oh, there are so many!  I love camp.  It’s a place for fun, a place to learn, a place to hang out with kids, getting to teach them as they teach me.  It’s one of the only places where I get to act like a kid while teaching kids how to act.  It’s a place where I get to be outside, all the time, where I get to see friends, share joy and struggle with others, be absolutely ridiculous sometimes, and completely serious at others.  It’s a place where I’m accepted, where I feel I have a purpose, where I can do good work.  But most importantly, it’s a place where God is the chief focus.  At camp we strive to teach each other more about God, we pray with each other, we read the Bible with both other staff and the campers, and strive to please God in all that we do.  All the work that we do is for God, for his glory, so that kids might come to know him, or know him more.  And that purpose, more than the games, and the songs, and the fires, and the marshmallows, makes camp so worth it, and makes it a place I am excited serve at again this summer.
